ECommerce Partners, a leading provider of e-commerce and online marketing solutions, seeks an experienced and resourceful internet technology expert to support its growing infrastructure of servers and customers. This is a combination IT and Customer Service role, so strong communication and organization skills are a must. An ideal candidate will possess both Linux and Windows Server administration experience, knowledge of complex internet application technologies, and a soothing voice to disarm stressed out customers. Quality service is our highest priority
Responsibilities:
Provide immediate response to customers while understanding and documenting technical problems.
Use of trouble ticket reporting system to initiate and follow issues through escalation, development and completion.
Prepare and organize server environments for website hosting and development.
Ensure the quality of work performed to fix problems and report the resolution to the customer.
Miscellaneous office IT responsibilities.
Skill Requirements:
A damn good sense of humor.
Sound understanding of programming language basics. Familiarity with ColdFusion and PHP a plus.
Experiance with ecommerce applications
Expert server administration skills. Technologies: Linux, Windows Server 2003, Apache, IIS, SSL, FTP, MSSQL, MySQL.
Experience handling trouble tickets. This includes the ability to accurately document and describe a problem and its possible fix for escalation.
Smooth customer service skills. We need a techie who can communicate with people who don`t know tech.
